Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Lune Diamond, our pieces, and your order.

OUR DIAMONDS

Are your diamonds real diamonds?

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to mined diamonds. They are not simulants like cubic zirconia or moissanite — they are real diamonds, certified to the same international standards.

Why does Lune use lab-grown diamonds?

Lab-grown diamonds let us offer real diamond jewellery with strong value, modern proportions, and clearer sourcing than traditional mined diamonds. They have the same chemical composition and crystal structure as mined diamonds, while avoiding traditional diamond mining.

Are your diamonds certified?

Every Lune Diamond piece priced above AUD $1,000 includes an IGI certificate. The certificate details the certified diamond's key 4Cs — carat, cut, colour, and clarity. Pieces priced at AUD $1,000 or below do not include IGI certification unless stated otherwise on the product page or confirmed before purchase.

BEFORE YOU BUY

How do I find my ring size?

The most accurate way is to have a jeweller measure your finger. If that isn't possible, our online size guide includes a printable ring sizer and step-by-step instructions to measure at home.

Can I see a piece in person before buying?

Lune Diamond is an online-first studio, so we do not currently operate a public showroom. To help you decide with confidence, our product pages include detailed imagery, specifications, and order information. Eligible in-collection pieces are also covered by our 14-day change-of-mind return policy.

What metals do you use?

Lune pieces are crafted in solid precious metals such as 18K gold, platinum 950, or sterling silver 925, depending on the design. We do not use plated or filled metals unless clearly stated on the product page.

Are your pieces hypoallergenic?

Our pieces are made in precious metals selected for fine jewellery wear, such as 18K gold, platinum 950, and sterling silver 925. If you have a known metal allergy or sensitivity, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm the suitable metal option for your piece.

RETURNS & SERVICE

What is your returns policy?

Eligible in-collection pieces can be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided they are unworn, unaltered, and in original condition with all packaging and any certificate provided.

Bespoke, custom-made, resized, engraved, altered, specially ordered pieces, loose diamonds, and earrings are not eligible for change-of-mind returns unless faulty or otherwise required by Australian Consumer Law.

For change-of-mind returns, return shipping is the customer's responsibility. If an item is confirmed to be faulty, not as described, or damaged in transit, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs in line with Australian Consumer Law.

What if something happens to my Lune Diamond piece?

Every piece is checked before dispatch. If something feels off when it arrives, please contact us with your order number and clear photographs.

If it is a manufacturing fault, or the item is not as described, we will assess it and arrange a suitable remedy in line with Australian Consumer Law. Depending on the issue, this may include repair, replacement, or refund.

For everyday wear, such as resizing, polishing, setting checks, or rhodium re-plating, contact us and we will confirm what is possible for your piece before any work begins. Some services may incur a fee.

Can I have my ring resized?

We offer one complimentary resize within 6 months on eligible rings, where the design allows. Some styles, including pave, eternity, fully-set, engraved, or complex designs, may not be resizable or may incur a workshop fee.

Return shipping and any additional work required will be confirmed before the resize begins. Please contact us before sending your piece back.
