A lab-grown diamond shares the exact chemical composition, crystal structure, and optical properties of a mined diamond. It scores a 10 on the Mohs scale of hardness. It refracts light with the same brilliance and fire. It is graded by the same 4Cs — carat, cut, colour, clarity.
Under a microscope, even a trained gemologist cannot tell the two apart without specialised equipment.

HOW THEY ARE MADE
A few weeks, instead of a billion years.
Lab-grown diamonds are formed in controlled environments that replicate the heat and pressure of the earth's mantle — the same conditions that produced every diamond ever found underground.
The process takes a matter of weeks. The result is chemically, physically, and optically indistinguishable from a stone formed deep in the earth over geological time.
The only meaningful difference is the certainty of where it came from.
CERTIFICATION
How you know what you're choosing.
Every Lune Diamond piece priced above AUD $1,000 includes an IGI certificate.
The certificate records the certified diamond's key details, including carat, cut, colour, and clarity. The report number may also be laser-inscribed on the diamond's girdle, depending on the stone and certificate type.
Pieces priced at AUD $1,000 or below do not include IGI certification unless stated otherwise on the product page or confirmed before purchase.
